    Ancient Art Of Sic Bo

April 28th, 2008 Gambling Tips Master Posted in Casino Games, Online Games No Comments »

Sic Bo is an easy game to play having remarkable similarities to roulette; the major difference being that Sic Bo uses three standard dice rather than a wheel.

The aim of Sic Bo is to guess the outcome of the three dice when thrown. Like roulette, you have a different types of bets ranging from hi – lo to picking the individual dice numbers with to odds paid dependent on probability. Sic Bo has one of the highest house edges so care needs to be taken when betting.

    The bet types are:

Small or Big - small pays out on dice total of 4 to 10 while big pays out on dice total of 11 to 17. All bets lost on any triples (three dice the same)

    Three Dice Total
    – pays out on the actual total of the dice irrespective of the combinations so a bet on the number 6 would payout on combinations of 2:2:2 1:2:3 1:1:4

    Two Dice Combinations
    – select the actual face value of two of the three dice.

Single Dice - select the face value of any one of the dice.

Specific Double – pays out on any two of the dice having the same number that you have selected.

Specific Triple – pays out on all three dice having the same number that you have selected – highest paying bet on the table at around 150/1

Any Triple – with any triple you are betting that all three dice will be the same without actually nominating the number itself.

Various casinos have different odds for each bet type. Each bet type also has a differerent house edge depending on the odds paid. Small/Big bets pay even money and have the smallest house edge. The specific Triple has a house edge of around 30%.

Sic Bo can be fun if you are prepared to play around with the different bet types. Making a profit can be difficult but if you hit a run of good luck, the winnings can be good. UK Betting Central have links to many casinos that include Sic Bo in their games list.

Baccarat Is Not For The Faint Hearted

April 24th, 2008 Gambling Tips Master Posted in Casino Games No Comments »

Baccarat is a game that can be very fast and where a lot of money can change hands very quickly. Baccarat is a card game where the object of the game is to assemble a hand of two or three cards with a points value as close to nine as possible.

Perfect hands are formed where the total of two cards equal eight or nine with nine naturally winning. No other hand can beat a perfect hand, the exception being that a nine will beat an eight. If any player has a natural eight or nine, No one else may draw a third card. In a tie, bets are called off.

Scoring: Aces count as one, picture cards as 10 and the others their face value. If your hand total is in double figures such as a 15, the 1 is discounted leaving you with a hand of 5.

Play: Each player receives two cards. For live play, the cards are dealt face down. With most online games, you select either the player or banker to win and place your bets prior to the deal. The cards are then dealt face up and played out.

If there are no natural eights or nines, then players can select to sit or draw another card. Players must sit on six or seven and must draw on four or less. You may only draw once giving you a maximum of three cards.

In many versions of the game, particularly live play, you can select to be a player, the banker or place third party bets. Third party bets are where you bet on either the player or banker to win. You play no active part in the outcome of the game.

As banker, you collect losses but pay out on wins. The casino takes a cut of either the bank or each play. As you start to run low on funds a player may call ‘banco’ and if they win, take the bank away from you. Calling ‘banco’ usually forces you to bet all that is left in your ‘bank’ that is on the table.

Baccarat is fast and, with a winning streak, could quickly grow your bankroll. However, it could just as quickly empty it.

March 30th, 2008 Gambling Tips Master Posted in Casino Games, Free Bets, Online Games No Comments »

Ever wondered how the bonuses worked when joining an online casino or gambling site? There are many different types of bonus available but they generally fall into four bonus types.

Sign up bonus: As the name suggest, this is a bonus that is paid when you sign up as a new account holder. They take the form of either matching deposit amounts or set amounts. There are generally upper limits to these bonuses but they are often very generous.

Reload bonus: This is a bonus that is paid to existing account holders and paid after depositing additional funds into their account. As with the sign up bonuses, reload bonuses come in many different shapes and sizes including matching 1 for 2 and have quite generous maximums.

Referral bonus: Referral bonuses are paid when you refer a friend who opens a new account. The bonus is normally paid after the ‘friend’ has earn a set number points or played a set amount of money.

Bonus points: Many online casinos use a reward system where you earn reward point by playing. The more you play the more points you can earn. Some sites offer the bonus points site wide, others pay bonus points only on designated games or at designated times. Bonus points can often be exchanged for money (into your account) or merchandise.

Each site has their own rules determining how and when bonuses are earned and paid. They set qualification criteria to ensure the system is not being scammed. UK Betting Central has more information on current bonuses and their eligibility requirements – check them out.

Ladies Only, Or Come One Come All

March 14th, 2008 Gambling Tips Master Posted in Casino Games, Online Betting, Online Casino Games No Comments »

I recently read an article lauding the opening of a female only online casino. Thats right – no blokes allowed. Seems a little unfair. I know plenty of women who have been happy to take my money on the tables of many of the traditional online casinos.

The question is, do we, in this age of equal opportunity, need a ladies only online casino. The reality is, how do you really know the gender of the people you are playing against in any online game. Statistics show that many people change their online persona to one that is often completely the opposite to their off line one, including changing their gender.

Maybe an online casino for women only appeals to you. I wonder what sort of checks they undertake to ensure you are a woman. For me, I am happy to stick to the more traditional open gender online casinos. It doesn’t matter who I take the money from, or who takes it from me, so long as in the long run I do more taking than giving.

UK Betting Central can point you in the direction of many of the traditional online casinos and other forms of betting. I will stick to what I know, what I enjoy, and the mixed company that patronizes these sites.
