Sic Bo is an easy game to play having remarkable similarities to roulette; the major difference being that Sic Bo uses three standard dice rather than a wheel.
The aim of Sic Bo is to guess the outcome of the three dice when thrown. Like roulette, you have a different types of bets ranging from hi – lo to picking the individual dice numbers with to odds paid dependent on probability. Sic Bo has one of the highest house edges so care needs to be taken when betting.
The bet types are:
Small or Big - small pays out on dice total of 4 to 10 while big pays out on dice total of 11 to 17. All bets lost on any triples (three dice the same)
Three Dice Total – pays out on the actual total of the dice irrespective of the combinations so a bet on the number 6 would payout on combinations of 2:2:2 1:2:3 1:1:4
Two Dice Combinations – select the actual face value of two of the three dice.
Single Dice - select the face value of any one of the dice.
Specific Double – pays out on any two of the dice having the same number that you have selected.
Specific Triple – pays out on all three dice having the same number that you have selected – highest paying bet on the table at around 150/1
Any Triple – with any triple you are betting that all three dice will be the same without actually nominating the number itself.
Various casinos have different odds for each bet type. Each bet type also has a differerent house edge depending on the odds paid. Small/Big bets pay even money and have the smallest house edge. The specific Triple has a house edge of around 30%.
Sic Bo can be fun if you are prepared to play around with the different bet types. Making a profit can be difficult but if you hit a run of good luck, the winnings can be good. UK Betting Central have links to many casinos that include Sic Bo in their games list.
